This movie, including some of the more sexually explicit scenes, was filmed in an actual church: San Vincenzo, just outside of Rome. The pastor, Father Paolo Ferrini told reporters the film crew told him they were just filming a wedding scene. As a result, services at the church were suspended until the building was reconsecrated. All services performed since the filming - weddings, christenings, funerals, etc. - were invalidated until re-blessed by the bishop.
